Note for anyone as new as me ;-)

If you are using .9+ of the framework make sure you change all classes to have CC on the front, i.e. CCSprite rather than Sprite.

Cheers all, glad you enjoyed the tutorial.

I’ll be putting the next one together this week so I’m hoping it should be up this weekend.

As I’m going to be looking at putting a small game together with the tutorials I’ll focus the next tutorial at creating Scenes / Transitions in order to create a Splash Screen for our applications.

Thanks a bunch for this walkthrough!
I just want to add, if anyone sees an error message like:
“There is no SDK with the name or path iphoneos2.2″
you probably need to set your XCode simulator to use 2.2.1 or 3.0
that stumped me for a good half hour.
